Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an entry-level Paralegal to support United States Attorneys with litigation and administrative tasks. You will draft documents, file via ECF, and assist with discovery and trial preparation while coordinating with AUSAs in the MPU.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.
• One year of legal training or legal experience or at least two years of college education may be substituted for the paralegal certificate.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience is required; trial experience is helpful.
• Basic legal knowledge, proper citation and research tool proficiency (LEXIS/Westlaw) expected.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and strong computer/app familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation and admin support to United States Attorneys under supervision.
• Draft and file legal documents using ECF; prepare garnishments, liens, and subpoenas.
• Monitor and track collection activity in internal databases; coordinate with AUSAs in MPU.
• Open/close case files, maintain calendars, and organize case materials for disposition.
• Assist with discovery production and trial preparation, including notebooks and witness/exhibit lists.
• Manage document control, travel filings per DOJ/FTR guidance, and related admin tasks.
