Job summary

CGS Paralegal position in the Legal department supports United States Attorneys with litigation and administrative tasks. You will draft documents, file petitions via ECF, and organize case materials while coordinating with AUSAs.

This entry-level role emphasizes accuracy, research using Lexis/Westlaw, and maintaining calendars, subpoenas, and discovery. CGS offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or JD or ABA-approved law school attendance required.
• At least one year of legal training or experience; graduates may substitute.
• Experience in litigation support and trial prep is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of legal citation and basic legal research tools (LEXIS/Westlaw).

Responsibilities

• Collects court ordered restitutions and fines.
• Drafts legal documents and files via ECF.
• Prepares garnishments, liens, and subpoenas; manages related documents.
• Provides trial preparation support and compiles notebooks for AUSAs.
• Maintains case files and calendar; tracks assigned AUSAs.
• Organizes case material using databases, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
