Job summary

Talis Group's client, a Louisville civil defense litigation firm, seeks a paralegal to join their litigation team. This entry-level role offers comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and ongoing mentorship in a supportive, professional environment.

You will assist attorneys with case management, draft routine documents, manage files, and coordinate depositions and court filings while learning civil litigation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in paralegal studies or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; legal software experience a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with day-to-day case management for civil defense litigation matters.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Draft and proofread routine legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings under supervision.
• Assist with discovery requests and responses, document review, and production.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings.
• Perform court filings and monitor deadlines.
• Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Provide general administrative and litigation support as needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in building a long-term career in litigation. They provide comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and ongoing mentorship in a supportive, professional environment. This is a full time position with benefits. Salary: $45,000-$55,00
