All About Eyes Dekalb is seeking an enthusiastic Optician to help patients find the best frames and lenses for their lifestyle. You will make professional recommendations to improve vision and overall satisfaction, in a friendly, high-energy retail setting.

Base pay starts at $17/hr with commissions and bonuses, and total earnings can reach $20–$26/hr. Training and a clear path to leadership are provided as part of a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• No optical experience? Good.
• Strong optician candidates may come from phones, jewelry, cosmetics, shoes, furniture, or restaurants.
• You already have the hardest part if you read a customer, ask the right questions, and hit a number; we’ll train you.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and scheduling appointments
• Verifying insurance benefits and calculating patient responsibility
• Selecting and ordering eyewear for patients
• Making small repairs and adjustments to eyeglasses
• Delivering a best-in-business patient experience from start to finish
• Supporting your team by communicating effectively and working toward shared goals
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation
