Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to support physicians by performing visual tests, data collection and patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. This entry-level role includes training and aims to certify you as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within 24 months.

Under supervision, you will conduct acuity and visual field tests, assist with diagnostic procedures, maintain patient records and contribute to a patient-centered, organized workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; free training provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual acuity testing and visual field testing.
• Perform lensometry, auto refractometry and refractometry.
• Assist physician, maintain patient records and ensure organized workflow.
