Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks a Network Engineer early in their career to provide onsite support for campus LAN and wireless infrastructure. You will work hands-on on deployment, configuration, and monitoring to maintain uptime in manufacturing and office spaces.

The role emphasizes learning under senior engineers, troubleshooting network issues, and participating in maintenance windows for changes while developing core networking skills in a large-scale environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cloud Computing, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure support, or a similar IT role.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals, Ethernet networking, VLANs, campus routing fundamentals (EIGRP), and enterprise switching and wireless platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for campus LAN and wireless network infrastructure in manufacturing and office environments.
• Respond to network incidents, alarms, and service requests with initial triage and escalation as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain campus switching and Wi‑Fi equipment, including access switches, APs, and controllers.
• Assist with EVPN/VXLAN and BGP related tasks under guidance from senior engineers.
