Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Network Engineer to join campus LAN and wireless operations. You will deploy, configure, monitor and troubleshoot networking gear onsite in a large-scale manufacturing environment.

You’ll work with Cisco and Arista devices, implement VLANs, STP, EVPN/VXLAN, and routing protocols like EIGRP and BGP. This role emphasizes hands-on learning under senior engineers and on-call readiness, with strong documentation and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, EIGRP, and enterprise switching/wireless.
• Experience in onsite manufacturing or campus environments.
• Physical onsite requirements: willing to lift up to 50 pounds and work in data closets and industrial spaces.

Responsabilités

• Provide onsite support for campus LAN and wireless infrastructure, responding to incidents and service requests.
• Install, configure, and maintain campus switches, access points, and wireless controllers with VLANs, trunking, STP, and PoE.
• Assist with wireless deployment, controller updates, RF troubleshooting, and coverage validation.
• Support Cisco and Arista environments, including EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, and routing configurations.
• Assist with campus routing protocols (EIGRP) and maintenance window changes.
• Create and maintain network documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and monitoring data.
• Apply AI-assisted automation to streamline operations and improve reliability.
