Job summary

UK King's Daughters in Ashland, KY is seeking an occupational therapist to perform comprehensive evaluations and deliver individualized treatments based on physician orders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients and caregivers, and contribute to program development while maintaining accurate documentation and pursuing ongoing professional development.

Requirements include a bachelor's in OT (master's preferred), 0-2 years of experience, and BLS certification;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of OT experience or related field.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Implements evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive equipment.
• Assesses progress, revises plans, and determines discharge/continuation of care.
• Educates patients and caregivers on home programs and equipment use.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Mentors rehabilitation technicians and students.
• Maintains accurate documentation per regulatory standards.
• Completes annual competency requirements and licensure maintenance.
• Assists management with resource assessment and process improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
