Job summary

UK King’s Daughters in Ashland, KY is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN) for on-site patient care. You will deliver direct OT care under supervision, assist in interventions, educate patients and caregivers, document progress, and support discharge planning.

Requires an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy, OTA license in Kentucky, BLS, and a valid driver’s license if Home Health is involved. 0–2 years of healthcare experience preferred. Day shifts, on-site.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE accredited school or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in healthcare, clinical setting, or relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care under OT supervision and implement therapeutic interventions to promote independence and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and document patient progress in the medical record.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, home programs, and safety precautions.
• Assist in designing orthotic devices and adaptive equipment; support discharge planning and program development.
