Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or a related field.
• Master's degree in occupational therapy or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in occupational therapy, rehabilitation, or patient care, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans to address patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
• Implements evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications to enhance patient independence and function.
• Assesses patient progress, revises treatment plans as needed, and determines appropriate discharge or continuation of care.
• Educates patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive strategies, and equipment use to promote long-term health and independence.
• Collaborates with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated, comprehensive, and patient-centered care.
• Instructs rehabilitation technicians, assistants, and students, providing mentorship and oversight.
• Maintains accurate, timely documentation and medical records in compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards.
• Completes annual competency requirements, maintains licensure, and participates in ongoing professional development.
• Assists managerial staff in resource assessment, process improvement, and enhancement of rehabilitation services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
