Charles River Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Technician I – Necropsy for the 1st Shift Pathology Services Team in Mattawan, MI. This entry-level role trains to perform basic necropsy tasks under supervision, including animal handling, dissection, sample collection and lab prep.

The position pays $20/hr with a Tue-Fri style schedule, Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm plus weekend/holiday rotation and potential overtime. Ownership of quality and safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in biological science preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Performs euthanasia and post-mortem examination of animals for pathology review.
• Collects, processes, and preserves organs and samples.
• Maintains data accuracy in forms or electronic systems.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Works under supervision to learn onboarding tasks and SOPs.
