Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Trainee NDT Tech to join our team in Dillon, SC. Under direct supervision, you will perform basic NDT tasks, stage work, move products through the NDT process, and support operations as needed.

This entry-level role requires no previous experience and offers exposure to hands-on NDT methods while developing skills under Level 2/3 guidance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Basic English language and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions.
• Ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals
• The ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
• The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions
• Meet minimal requirement on Wyman Gordon internal assessments

Responsibilities

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Obtain experience under direct observation of a Level 2 or Level 3 in the same method.
• Adheres to quality processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Correctly interpret work orders
• Perform basic NDT support tasks (staging work, etc.) See NAS410- 5.1.1
• Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
