Job summary

Acuren is seeking NDT Assistants for operations in Akron, OH and surrounding areas. This is a callout/travel position requiring up to 90% travel throughout Akron and surrounding areas, including pipelines and fab shops.

Assist in calibrations, nondestructive testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection according to written instructions and record results. Training and supervision will follow company safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a thorough background check per client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Record results of inspections.
• Assist performing NDT procedures and carrying equipment.
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.
