Job summary

Acuren is seeking entry-level NDT assistants to support operations in Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas. This will be a callout/travel position with up to 75% travel across North Carolina and nearby areas, serving environments in pulp & paper, gas plants, refineries and pharmaceuticals.

Assist in calibrations, nondestructive tests and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations per written instructions and record results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.
• Must be able to pass drug/alcohol and background screens per client requirements.
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
• Record results of inspections.
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations.
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.

Successful candidates must be able to travel up to 75% throughout North Carolina and surrounding areas. (Environments will be Pulp & Paper, Gas Plants, Refineries and Pharmaceuticals.) NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

Requirements
