Job summary

Acuren is seeking an Entry Level NDT Assistant to support its operations in Raleigh, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. This callout/travel position requires travel up to 75% across North Carolina and nearby regions.

The role involves assisting Radiographers, recording inspection results, and aiding NDT procedures. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and a technical background; some college education is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize nondestructive testing equipment.
• Assist Radiographers with the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities and defects using NDT inspection methods.
• Record inspection results.
• Assist with performing NDT procedures, including carrying equipment and supporting other operations.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Position Summary:-

The NDT Assistant supports the performance of calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations in accordance with written instructions. The position also involves recording inspection results and assisting Radiographers with NDT operations.

The role may involve work in pulp and paper facilities, gas plants, refineries, and pharmaceutical environments.

• Experience, credentials, and history sufficient to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, as determined through a thorough background check.
• Motor vehicle driving record must meet company standards for operating company vehicles.
• Ability to pass drug/alcohol and background screening requirements established by clients.
• Ability to work in pulp and paper, gas plant, refinery, pharmaceutical, and surrounding industrial environments.
