Job summary

Capital Health seeks a patient-centered imaging assistant to join our radiology team. You will assist with imaging exams, perform clerical duties, verify patient information, schedule exams, and help maintain a safe, efficient workflow in a busy hospital setting.

No prior experience required; however, all applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, AHA BLS certification, and obtain basic life support if not already current.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• AHA BLS certification is required; Non- Licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.
• Basic life support training is required.

Responsibilities

• Composes to providing a respectful, caring, attentive, and efficient patient-centered experience.
• Assists with imaging exams and performs clerical duties including record keeping; maintains high quality services.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and care providers; schedules exams as needed.
• Verifies patient information (name/DOB) and ensures proper isolation/precautions as needed; maintains workflow.
• Fits imaging room setup for scheduled exams and provides clear explanations of studies to patients.
• Transports patients safely between locations and ensures patient comfort during procedures.
