Job summary

Radiance Technologies in the Eglin Air Force Base, Florida area is seeking a talented junior software engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team in support of AFRL missions at Eglin AFB.

The candidate will develop AFSIM models, scenarios and capabilities, work closely with customers and a diverse team of software engineers and analysts, and provide onsite support as needed, while following Agile practices for testing and verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 1 year in C++, C#, Python, or Java development.
• Agile development practices and DoD security awareness are preferred.
• Proficient with Git, Jenkins and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools (AFSIM, NGTS, ITASE).
• Familiar with Docker, WSL2, OO design patterns and software testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop AFSIM models, scenarios and capabilities for AFRL missions.
• Work with customers and a diverse team of engineers and analysts.
• Provide onsite support as needed at Eglin AFB.
• Apply modern Agile practices in testing and verification.
