Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking an EngineerMachine 1 to support Facilities Engineering in Newport News, VA. The role focuses on robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing tech, working with cross‑functional teams to drive project success.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree required in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
Experience developing GUIs, HMIs, or other operator interfaces.
Ability to read design documents and electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings.
Strong project management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in Windows and MS Office.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary project teams to oversee development and implementation of manufacturing facility projects across all PM phases.
Provide engineering oversight for electrical, mechanical, electromechanical controls, and/or structural disciplines.
Provide field engineering, field technical assessments, and contractor management during construction.
Provide manufacturing process engineering and technology development.
Control project costs and schedules.
