Job summary

Aerotek in Brea, CA is seeking an entry level MIG Welder for a busy machine shop environment. You will perform MIG welding on sheet metal components for commercial body flatbed products, following work instructions and drawings to produce consistent, high-quality welds.

The role requires setting up and operating MIG welding equipment, inspecting welds, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. The position offers a contract-to-hire path with weekday shifts, including 3:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MIG welding on sheet metal.
• Hands-on experience operating MIG welding equipment in production.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and welding stations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality welds.
• Willingness to work the scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on sheet metal to meet quality and production standards.
• Set up, operate, and maintain MIG welding equipment safely.
• Inspect welds for quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with team across machine shop, paint departments and welding stations.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized welding area.
• Support shift schedules Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
