Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Fitter/Welder to join our shop team. The ideal candidate will MIG weld mild and stainless steel to tight tolerances, read detailed drawings, and perform basic fitting and grinding to finished parts.

You will adjust welding equipment according to procedures, inspect welds for quality, and collaborate with machine operators, painters, and supervisors. This full-time, on-site role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of welding experience in sheet metal manufacturing.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Basic English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of AWS welding symbols is a plus.
• Possession of safety and ISO awareness.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld mild and stainless steel to drawing specs.
• Perform basic fitting and fit-up of parts.
• Adjust welding machines per SOP and department manuals.
• Grind welds and finish surfaces per requirements.
• Inspect welds and parts against drawings and tolerances.
• Read and interpret complex engineered drawings.
• Perform torch cutting and layout where required.
• Maintain proper PPE and safety practices.
