Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring a Radio Technician I to support wireless projects. You will stay current in radio theory, applications, and RAN-related work, while collaborating with senior technicians and managers to deliver high-quality results.

You will contribute to day-to-day project updates, maintain safety standards, and adapt to changing environments. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or within a team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of wireless telecommunications experience
  • Able to read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, and SOW
  • Solid communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation
  • Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Valid driver’s license and comply with vehicle policy
  • Basic leadership skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated with initiative to achieve company goals
  • Able to work independently or in a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Safety is a day-to-day part of work life

Responsibilities

  • Stay current in technical theory, application, and operational discipline
  • Take on technical and project-related efforts with direction
  • Provide day-to-day updates to Senior Technicians and managers
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve results
  • Contribute 100% as an individual while prioritizing team success
  • Ensure customer experience is protected to the greatest extent feasible
  • Adapt quickly to change and understand the whole picture
  • Demonstrate understanding of theory and application related to RAN
  • Share ideas to improve efficiency or add value
  • Continuously learn and develop professionally
  • Understand theory and applications related to transport
