Job summary

Radiance Technologies, Inc. seeks a talented engineer to join the Electronic Systems and Cyber Technologies Group. You will design and test PCBs, analog circuits, and FPGA prototypes, with a strong emphasis on hardware security.

The role requires collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams and rigorous problem solving in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The candidate will hold a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, maintain high academic standards, and be eligible for a TS clearance.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5; include GPA on your resume.
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain TS clearance.
  • Must be detail oriented with respect to work organization and documentation.
  • Ability to efficiently evaluate and solve problems.
  • Must be self-motivated and work well on a team both local and distributed.

Responsibilities

  • Design and test PCBs and analog circuits; prototype on FPGA.
  • Research hardware security techniques including exploitation and anti-tamper measures.
  • Perform SPICE simulations and circuit verifications.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on mission-driven projects.

About the Role

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee‑owned company, is searching for a talented candidate to join our Electronic Systems and Cyber Technologies Group.

This person will provide technical research and microelectronics design with an emphasis on hardware security and testing. They will work with a multi‑disciplined team involving research into microelectronic trends and hardware vulnerabilities including hardware exploitation, side‑channel attacks, and anti‑tamper techniques.

They will be required to design and test printed circuit boards (PCBs), design and simulate analog circuits, and prototype designs on a field programmable gate array (FPGA). This person needs to have innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills, and adaptive thinking. They will need to have strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. They must work well in a fast‑paced mission‑driven environment.

Required Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or relevant technical field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 (Please list GPA on your resume to be considered)
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance
  • Must be detail oriented with respect to work organization and documentation
  • Ability to efficiently evaluate and solve problems
  • Must be self‑motivated and work well on a team both local and distributed
Desired Qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Hardware design languages – Verilog/VHDL/System Verilog
  • Digital/analog circuit design and testing
  • SPICE simulation
  • PCB design
  • C/C++
  • Embedded Programming using Linux OS with drivers or bare metal and debugging via JTAG
  • Signal Processing / Data Analysis
  • Hardware Security experience
  • Cryptographic algorithms and applications
  • Python Test environment creation/maintenance in simulation and development board
Desired Tool Experience
  • FPGA tools – Quartus/Vivado
  • Circuit Simulation – LTSpice, Spectre
  • PC board design – Altium, Allegro
  • MS Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
