Job summary

PTMW, Inc in Topeka, KS is seeking a reliable laborer for the Assembly department. You will assemble panel, floor and roof components for pre-fabricated metal buildings and ensure quality and safety. No prior experience required as training will be provided.

You will read blueprints, operate tools, work at height, and collaborate with teammates to keep production running smoothly. Safety guidelines will be followed to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications

• Ability to use power tools.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
• General understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent work history - including strong attendance record and tenure.
• Self motivated conscientious worker.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and physical capacity test, including, but not limited to, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pre-fabricated metal building components, including wall panels, floors and roofing panels.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure correct assembly and installation.
• Perform assembly duties at heights via ladder or scissor lift.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed or as assigned.
