Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an entry-level MV Line Tech 1 to learn and assist with construction, maintenance, and repairs on electrical distribution systems, both overhead and underground, under close supervision.

The role requires working outdoors in all weather, abiding by safety protocols, and flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and night shifts. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and work near energized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with construction, maintenance, and repairs on electrical distribution systems.
• Learn and assist with operating and maintaining aerial devices and related equipment.
• Observe safety precautions around energized circuits and hazardous chemicals.
• Dig pole and anchor holes, load/unload, and set transformers.
• Assist in distribution switching, documentation, and mapping information.
