Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an entry-level MV Line Tech 1 to join our electrical trades team in the United States. The role emphasizes learning to build, repair, and maintain distribution systems under close supervision.

You will work with medium voltage line equipment, assist linemen, and gain hands-on experience in overhead and underground projects while following strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0+ years of experience.
• Willingness to perform outdoor, physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with performing the construction, maintenance, and repairs on the electrical overhead and underground distribution systems.
• Learn and assist with operating, inspecting, and maintaining aerial devices, digger/derricks, excavation equipment, and other electric line related equipment.
• Learn and observe proper safety precautions, particularly when working on or near energized circuits and with hazardous chemicals.
• Dig pole and anchor holes.
• Load and unload, remove and install, and transport framing poles.
• Set transformers and pull underground primary and secondary conductors.
• Assist MV line Tech’s/Lineman with performing distribution switching, documentation, and mapping information, and perform other related duties as assigned.
