Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital is seeking a Clinical Engineering Tech I for entry-level maintenance and service of assigned medical equipment. You will work under supervision to install, calibrate, and repair equipment across multiple clinical environments.

Position requires basic understanding of medical equipment, anatomy, and terminology, plus ability to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in CMMS. Travel within Intermountain clinics may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with Medical Equipment or maintaining / repairing equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated ability to follow protocols and processes relating to equipment maintenance.
• Education will be verified for preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of medical equipment, human anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of basic troubleshooting and repair techniques to perform equipment repairs.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance procedures on low/medium risk medical equipment.
• Possess the skill to utilize tools and test equipment required for job duties and responsibilities.
• Adherence to confidentiality requirements and safeguarding of protected health information (PHI).
• Competent in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for documentation.
• Basic understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to medical equipment management.
