Job summary

MiSide in Detroit, MI seeks an entry-level Medical Assistant to support clinicians in delivering patient care. The role involves vital signs, phlebotomy duties, equipment handling, and administrative tasks in a busy health care setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and CPR/First Aid training, with preference for Certified Medical Assistants and hospital/office experience. The position offers full-time hours, a comprehensive benefit package, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant, preferred.
• One year’s experience working in a medical office/clinic.
• CPR/First Aid training.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle.
• Familiar with mental health issues/mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individual consumers to measure vital signs, height and weight.
• Follow MiSide medical protocols and provide input for development of new protocols.
• Support the nursing staff in rendering first aid as requested.
• Conduct phone follow-up with consumers and/or health care providers when requested by the health care team.
• Provide health education and information regarding health and wellness programs.
