Sierra Space is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer I to support senior engineers on mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, and environmental systems. You will help analyze, design, and evaluate components, and prepare technical documentation to communicate findings.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 0–2 years of experience, and a basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
• Typically entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience.
• Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
• Basic application and use of technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
• Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
• Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from senior engineers.
• Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts and information.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems and components.
• Collect and analyze data related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, or environmental systems.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings.
