Job summary

Comark, located in Lowell, MA, seeks an entry level Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical and electromechanical products. You will evaluate systems against customer requirements and support manufacturing to ensure quality in form, fit, and function.

You will write specifications, create drawings, and participate in qualification testing while coordinating change orders for new releases. Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• SolidWorks experience or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with machine tools and processes.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Engineering Analysis tools (Ansys, ProMechanica or similar).
• Self-guided and able to work in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• No Relocation.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems.
• Evaluate systems by reviewing customer requirements and develop products to meet objectives.
• Provide engineering support and assist manufacturing to ensure quality in design.
• Write and update specifications; communicate internally and externally.
• Coordinate change orders for product updates and new releases.
• Solicit operator observations to improve design and quality.
• Estimate budgets and project time scopes.
• Create mechanical drawings and specs for work instructions.
• Support qualification testing and related analyses as required.
• Communicate technical knowledge clearly in product documentation.
• Interpret customer requests and advise on risks and alternative designs.
