Job summary

Maxon-4 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Taunton, MA for an entry to early-career role. You will contribute to mechanical design for motor, gearing, encoder, and electronics integrations, collaborating with Sales Engineers to meet customer needs.

The position supports hands-on prototyping in the Engineering Lab and on-site machine shop, with opportunity to lead design reviews and develop manufacturing instructions as skills grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience.
• Strong CAD skills (Creo/ProE).
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in all aspects of mechanical design work.
• Interprets customer requests into engineering specifications.
• Generates CAD models and drawings (GD&T as needed).
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborates with Electrical, process, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Works with shop to fabricate prototypes and perform testing.
