Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate in Madison, WI to work with experienced engineers, delivering design, analysis, and project execution with mentorship from day one.

You will assist with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design, engage with clients, and contribute to project planning, while advancing your knowledge in high-performance building design and IMEG standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts used for technical plans and specs.
• Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics for building systems.
• Familiarity with HVAC load calculation software and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems per IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and support project requirements.
• Support project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress with the project team.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose solutions with senior engineers.
• Support IMEG quality control processes to ensure design integrity.
• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to R&D efforts.
• Prioritize safety and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
