Position Details

We are looking to fill a full-time ENTRY LEVEL Mechanical Engineer position with a manufacturer located in the Franklin/Bowling Green, KY area.

Salary Range: $70,000 per year. No relocation assistance for entry-level candidates.

Must Haves

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. We do not accept Mechanical Engineering Technology degrees.
• Must be able to commute or relocate at your own expense.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage capital and kaizen projects in a time-critical environment.
• Provide analysis, evaluation, and review of problems regarding automation, advanced methods and equipment, material handling, layout, and material flow.
• Develop safeguards and improve team member safety through process improvements.
• Provide training and troubleshooting assistance to production and maintenance teams.
• Design and develop new equipment, tooling, and coordinate installation and startup.
• Lead and support maintenance activities, ensure mechanical functions of plant processes, and support 6S policies.
• Support production processes, analyze data, identify improvements, and respond to emergency failures.
• Assist with budget preparations, develop spare parts lists, and support new equipment installation.
• Experience with SolidWorks preferred; develop and verify tooling and line startup for new products.
• Communicate effectively with sales and product design teams, develop new products, and interpret engineering drawings.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of machine design, SolidWorks, tooling, and machine installation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving skills, and a good work ethic.
• Experience with TPS, TPM, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement techniques is preferred.
