Job summary

IMEG Corp in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate for Summer 2027. The entry-level role provides hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience with mentorship, training, and growth opportunities from day one. You will contribute to healthcare-focused MEP work with an HVAC emphasis and support cross-functional teams on projects.

The position is full-time in office, with travel up to 5% and 100% employee ownership (ESOP). Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection for buildings.
• Familiarity with industry standard engineering software and HVAC load calculation tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays.
• Prior internship in building design consulting is a plus.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems using engineering software.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Support project work within project budgets and schedules.
• Assist with documenting design decisions and monitor progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose practical solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to meet standards.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and partake in R&D efforts.
