Job summary

Maxon Group is seeking an entry and early career Mechanical Engineer in Taunton, MA. You will work under ISO procedures, taking on increasing responsibility as skills develop, from simple modifications to larger mechatronic system designs.

You will engage with customers through Sales Engineers, coordinate with vendors, and participate in Phase Gate projects with mentorship from a project manager. You will gain exposure to all phases of product development, including design, prototyping, testing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience.
• Familiarity with design-for-manufacture and working with vendors/suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in all aspects of mechanical design work.
• Generate and execute test plans and prototypes.
• Prepare CAD models and engineering drawings using GD&T as needed.
• Coordinate with Electrical, process, supply chain, quality and planning teams.
• Lead design reviews and brainstorming sessions.
• Work in the Engineering Lab and on-site machine shop to fabricate/assemble prototypes.
