Job summary

Maxtena, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, and testing of mechanical systems from concept to production. You will perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses, develop prototypes, and ensure regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate with electrical, RF, and software teams and guide design reviews, ensuring on-time delivery and cost control in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of mechanical design and engineering experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of systems, assemblies, and components using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, and stress analyses using FEA and other engineering tools.
• Develop prototypes and iterate designs based on testing and validation results.
• Ensure designs comply with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Plan, execute, and document mechanical testing and product verification.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs are producible and maintainable.
