Job summary

AutoStore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of mechanical systems enabling warehouse automation and customer operations. You will work with experienced engineers to develop innovative mechanical solutions and gain hands‑on experience with automation technologies used in real‑world customer environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0-2 years of engineering experience, including internships or projects.
• Fundamental understanding of mechanics, materials, and machine design.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor/NX).
• Understanding of drawings, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with engineering calculations and analysis techniques.
• Exposure to prototype development or validation activities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Must not require visa support to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and validation of mechanical components and systems.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Support prototype development, assembly, and testing activities.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Assist with product verification, reliability testing, and design improvements.
• Apply engineering principles and design standards to solve technical challenges.
• Support continuous improvement for performance, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas to improve products and processes.
