Job summary

Harris Group in Portland, OR is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team on various industrial applications. The role involves travel to local job sites, with exposure to heating & cooling water piping, HVAC ductwork, pneumatic and control systems.

Harris Group is looking for an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers on a variety of industrial applications. This opportunity will be based in Harris Group’s Portland officeand will require travel to jobsites in the area intermittently. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a background in Mechanical Engineeringwho can take into account the greater picture of systems as a whole. Relevant systems

and subjects include, heating & cooling water piping, HVAC ductwork and & handling systems, pneumatic systems, thermodynamics, manufacturing process support systems, and control systems. Bring your curiosity and problem-solving skills to this exciting role!

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 0 - 3 years of relevant experience.

• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering techniques commonly used in industrial capital projects.
• Ability to identify, interpret and apply relevant codes and standards to engineering designs.
• Ability and willingness to travel to an off-site location and/or accept client site assignments when required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• EIT certification a plus.
• Ability to use a computer and computer software programs, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
