Position Summary: Strata G is seeking to fill a position of an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer in the Huntsville area. The position requires understanding and application of engineering principles in the mechanical engineering field with knowledge of other related disciplines. Engineering responsibilities will include developing/analyzing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the design, integration and test of various mechanical/electrical sub-systems associated with Army rotor, fixed wing and unmanned aircraft, as well as ground support equipment. Candidate must be able function in a team environment, working under the direction/supervision senior team lead. Position will require the ability to interact effectively with team members, customers, support personnel and senior management on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Qualifications Required:

• Experience with CAD modeling/drafting/analysis tools (preferably SolidWorks)
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Must currently have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
• Ability to work independently with direction/support from a senior engineer
• Good communicator across multiple mediums

Qualifications Desired:

• Experience with ANSYS Simulation Software
• Experience with tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Understanding of fabrication methods used in aerospace

Minimum Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferable)
• 0-2 years experience
