Job summary

Volt is hiring an Entry Level Mechanical Design Engineer in San Diego, CA for a full-time, temp-to-hire role. You will create and maintain mechanical and systems composite designs and may cover multiple disciplines, including electrical and controls.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Engineering with a 2.8+ GPA and 1+ year of experience, proficient in CAD tools (AutoCAD or Creo), and has strong communication. Manufacturing environment or gas turbine control experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering with a 2.8 GPA and 1+ year of experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings and drafting software (AutoCAD or Creo).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Manufacturing environment experience or with gas turbine control systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of Oracle or other database tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the mechanical and Systems composite product design.
• Cover one or more composite disciplines: electrical, hydro-mechanical, controls manufacturing, software, display.
• This role focuses on maintaining the mechanical and hydro-mechanical product design.
