Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Jamestown, ND is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Assembler I to join the Cargo Assembly group. You will work under supervision, perform assembly tasks per manufacturing orders and drawings, and conduct basic functional testing and kitting for shipment.

The role emphasizes quality, teamwork and safety in a production environment. It is an onsite position with opportunities to grow skills in tooling, inspection, and process improvements within Collins Aerospace.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Quality oriented with ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
• Operates hand tools, air tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Maintains inventory of product in workstations.
• Performs quality checks and records defects.
• Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment per engineering specification changes.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area; can lift up to 25 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours.
