Job summary

Dominion Energy in Columbia, SC, is seeking an entry-level team member to issue and receive materials, manage inventory, and support storerooms across the company. The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) while collaborating with maintenance teams.

Experience with SAP/Maximo is preferred; forklift experience is a plus. There is overtime potential and a focus on safety and reliability, with a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• SAP and Maximo experience is preferred.
• Previous storeroom, warehouse, materials management or plant operations experience is preferred.
• This position requires heavy lifting (minimum 50 lbs.) so candidate must be in good physical condition.
• The successful candidate will be mechanically and electrically inclined and have good communications and human relations skills.
• Prior forklift experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment is desired.
• This position also requires the availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime and must respond to call outs in support of plant Operations and Maintenance.
• Completion of high school or equivalent (i.e., GED) is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Issuing and receiving materials for the plant via the computer system.
• Position will manage inventory.
• Issue and receive goods
• Purchase and acquire materials within prescribed limits
• Handle safety equipment.
• Assist corporate accounting, supply chain management, material management and all other storerooms throughout the company.
