Job summary

Dominion Energy is hiring an entry-level storeroom associate in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on issuing/receiving materials, inventory management, and supporting plant operations. Heavy lifting is required; mechanical and electrical aptitude, plus good communication and teamwork, are important, with SAP/Maximo experience preferred.

You will support corporate accounting and material management, participate in safety practices, and assist storerooms across the company as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• SAP and Maximo experience is preferred.
• Previous storeroom, warehouse, materials management or plant operations experience is preferred.
• This position requires heavy lifting (minimum 50 lbs.) and must be in good physical condition.
• The successful candidate will be mechanically and electrically inclined with good communication and human relations skills.
• Prior forklift experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
• Availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime and must respond to call outs in support of plant Operations and Maintenance.

Job Summary

This entry level position is located in Columbia, South Carolina. The employee will be responsible for:

• Issuing and receiving materials for the plant via the computer system.
• Position will manage inventory,
• Issue and receive goods
• Purchase and acquire materials within prescribed limits
• Handle safety equipment.

This position provides assistance to corporate accounting, supply chain management, material management and all other storerooms throughout the company.

Minimum Requirements(Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
