Job summary

Tate Americas is seeking an entry-level Operator to operate and maintain machinery in the Understructure department. You will learn and gain knowledge of all equipment within the department, supporting production efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include setting up parts, monitoring operations, performing quality inspections, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift 40 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability interface with a diverse workforce.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repetitively for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel machinery and work near moving parts.

Responsibilities

• Learn and gain knowledge of all equipment in the Understructure department.
• Position parts and monitor operations to meet production standards.
• Inspect panels or parts to verify quality.
• Complete production reporting and quality paperwork accurately.
• Use banding equipment and hand-jacks to move product safely.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety procedures.
• Report quality issues and unsafe conditions to supervisors.
