Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to assess non-conformities, support late changes to production, and identify continuous improvement opportunities in the manufacturing process.

You will respond to technical questions, explain work orders/drawings for aircraft mechanical items, and liaise with on-site back office for work order adaptation. Requires 0–3 years in aerospace and travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent years of experience.
• 0–3 years of aerospace experience, preferably in Final Assembly Line.
• Travel required: 5% domestic and international.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering, supply chain and quality systems.
• Ability to work in an international team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Create work orders for FAL rework (Cabin, Systems, Electrics, or Structures) and verify technical content of non-conformities.
• Provide technical support to production on issues including directed changes.
• Incorporate implicit knowledge into work instructions with clarity and detail.
• Arrange replacement parts, jigs, and tools required for work.
• Drive continuous improvement with recurring non-conformities in cooperation with quality.
