Job summary

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to join the A320 Engineering Department. You will assess manufacturing non-conformities, support late changes, and help identify continuous improvement opportunities in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities include technical guidance to production, non-conformity content validation, and ensuring correct build information. Travel up to 5% is expected; the role is onsite in Mobile.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Must have a minimum of 0-3 years of experience in Aerospace, preferably in an Aerospace Final Assembly Line.
• Travel Required: 5% Domestic and International.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and tools used in manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and quality system management.
• Knowledge about non-conformities and design query notes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Handle Non-Conformities: Create work orders for FAL rework and verify content.
• Provide technical support to production on issues including directed changes.
• Incorporate implicit knowledge into work instructions with clear language and detail.
• Initiate availability of replacement parts, jigs, and tools.
• Manage continuous improvement measures with recurring non-conformities.
• Support ME activities in the FAL.
