Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to assess non-conformities, support late changes for production, and identify continuous improvement opportunities in the manufacturing process.

You will respond to technical questions, explain work orders/drawings, and coordinate with FAL production and the on-site back office for work order adaptation. Minimum 0–3 years in aerospace with a degree in an engineering field, and willingness to travel up to 5% domestically

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years aerospace experience, preferably in Final Assembly Line.
• Travel required: 5% domestically and internationally.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and quality system management.
• Ability to collaborate with internal customers and international teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Create specific work orders for FAL rework and verify technical content of non-conformities.
• Provide technical support to production and oversee directed changes.
• Incorporate implicit knowledge into work instructions and refine them for clarity.
• Arrange replacement parts, jigs, and tools required for work.
• Lead continuous improvement measures with recurring non-conformities in cooperation with quality.
• Support ME activities and routing verification for new or updated processes.
• Participate in training plans and orientation for new colleagues and trainees.
• Other duties as assigned.
