Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Folsom, CA is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer I to support process development for inert electromechanical assemblies and energetic SRM manufacturing. This entry-level role includes on‑the‑job training and mentorship, with 20–30% travel to Reno, NV to support development operations.

You will write work instructions, participate in DFMA and readiness reviews, support tooling and documentation, monitor data, and help address non-conformances while ensuring traceability

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant engineering field with 0–2 years of experience or internship/co-op.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply basic GD&T.
• Strong documentation skills for work instructions and reports.
• Familiarity with CAD viewing tools; proficient in MS Office.
• Analytical and collaborative problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing process development for inert electromechanical assemblies and energetic SRM ops.
• Write and maintain work instructions, travelers, and process specs.
• Participate in DFM/A, PRR, and program milestones, flag manufacturability issues.
• Support tooling requirements, inspection participation, and maintenance docs.
• Monitor process data, identify deviations, and escalate root causes.
• Support RCCA investigations and drive process improvements.
• Maintain configuration management and traceability with QA.
• Provide hands-on engineering support across Folsom and Reno.
