Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Assembler to perform repetitive assembly operations on windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs along our production lines. You will place parts, fasten components, cut to size as needed, and move products through multiple stations while upholding safety and quality standards.

Prior carpentry experience is helpful. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 100 pounds, exposure to loud environments, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; basic writing.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform simple math.
• Ability to perform tasks with repetitive motions and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Cuts products to specific measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Works in environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced.
• Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
