Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets invites passionate individuals to join a structured training program designed to be completed in 6 months with mentorship and training support. Successful completion leads to an interview for or placement as a Team Leader within Wegmans’ dynamic retail environment.

You will gain a deep understanding of Wegmans values, standards, and operations while delivering outstanding customer service and helping teams run smoothly in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery, or retail setting.
• Computer skills for daily operations and point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback and development opportunities.
• Provide incredible customer service to customers and employees alike.
• Help to problem solve operational challenges while maintaining open two-way communication with managers.
• Coordinate activities, prioritize tasks and ensure the operation runs efficiently for your team.
