Primacare is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech Level 1 at North Canton Nursing & Rehab in North Canton, OH. This full-time role supports facility operations to maintain a safe, functional environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Starting pay is $15.79 per hour.

The position invites hands-on work with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, with opportunities to grow in a supportive healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 years of general maintenance, basic handyman, or facility operations experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and simple power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general, routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the facility, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and hardware upkeep.
• Conduct daily inspections of common areas, resident rooms, and grounds to identify and address minor repair needs or safety hazards.
• Assist with painting, drywall patching, moving furniture, and setting up spaces for facility events.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas, shop rooms, and storage spaces.
• Respond promptly to routine maintenance work orders and work requests submitted by staff and residents.
• Report larger machinery, HVAC, or facility-wide issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist with basic exterior maintenance, seasonal groundskeeping, and safety protocols as directed.
